Karen is a certified Mindfulness Instructor who received her training through Mindful Schools. She is also a Trauma Informed Professional where she received training at the Center for Adolescent Studies. Karen is a NJ certified Educator with a degree in Elementary Education Prek-8.  Karen has taught educators around the country mindfulness practices. She is a national presenter. Karen has 26 years teaching experience. She has worked with all grades level teaching them the practice of mindfulness. Karen is also a gifted specialist as well. Karen's course work includes: mindful communication, the foundations of mindfulness, dealing with difficult emotions, mindful play, yoga and the young child, mindfulness for adults, MBSR. Karen is also a Level 2 Reiki Practionier.
Karen also is a loving wife and mother to three children. Karen's oldest son, Vincent is serving in the US Airforce. Her middle son, Carlos was adopted from Guatemala when he was younger. And her youngest child, Faith was adopted from South Korea. Karen and Joe are raising their children in Glen Rock, NJ along with their adorable bulldog, Nina. Karen opened up be.here.now A Center for Mindfulness in July 2021. Her classes are sold out every week and people are eager to learn mindfulness practices taught at the center! 


Fran Centrella

We are thrilled to have Fran Centrella on staff with us! Fran has a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and is a certified Mindfulness Instructor with be.here.now. She currently works with high school students who are on the spectrum. She has two children, one who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 16 months and is currently 21 years old and her daughter who is 19 attending Drew University.  Her passion is to help other moms who have children with special needs.  Fran leads the Women's Circle for moms who have children with special needs. Fran's dedication to the practice is outstanding and her love for learning  is a gift to all of our clients!
